Kia Ora Lego Builders! Our Lego building workshops are about to get started this Saturday. We will be planning out our town centre 2035, thinking about what existing building will still be here, how they might change and what new shops, businesses and public spaces might look like. Bring along your lego creations to show others and work on, there will be some expert builders present to get tips from! It has been fantastic to already hear of some building already in progress, here goes the beginnings of Frank’s ideas for a Community Centre/Stadium developments:
Jake has developed a draft town centre plan to help get everyone started. Our model will be metres long! This is based on an actual section of Paraparaumu 300m x 90m in size. It references how the town centre is now and how it might be in 2035, using concepts that have been developed from the real town centre planning that has been happening over the last six months. The field in the middle will have be a model of the Sustainable Home and Garden Show 2035.
Looking forward to seeing you at the workshop, we are still on the look out for more builders! So tell your friends, encourage them to register and bring them along on Saturday! If you have questions, comments or images to post we’d love to hear from you on our Facebook page: www.facebook.com/ecotownbuildingcomp
